how to clean up disk on MS Windows 7

Disk cleanup on MS Windows 7 is removing unnecessary files to free up the space on the disk drive. To run cleanup on a Windows 7 computer, we have to follow some steps as below.

1. Click Start and Click All Programs

2. And Click Accessories and Then click System Tools and select Disk Clean up

After select Disk Cleanup it will display a drop down menu like this

Then Select Drive C from the drop-down menu and Click OK. After that disk cleanup will calculate

After the calculation is complete, we should see a dialog box that looks similar to the following

Check that only the following checkboxes are checked:

• Downloaded Program Files

• Temporary Internet Files

• Recycle Bin

• Temporary Files

3. Click OK.

4. We will see a dialog box that prompts “Are you sure you want to permanently delete these files?

5. After that Click Delete Files.

Disk cleanup will delete the files and close automatically.
